Across the U.S., New York had the highest number of web accessibility lawsuits, with a total of 154 cases. Florida followed with 80 cases, while California had a comparatively lower count of 9. Meanwhile, 47 lawsuits were filed across other states, highlighting a widespread concern regarding website accessibility compliance.

In terms of the web platforms that were implicated in these lawsuits, Shopify emerged as the most affected, with nearly 80 ADA lawsuits. Additionally, there were 52 cases (17.93%) against websites utilizing an accessibility widget, suggesting that these tools are not the solution for complying with accessibility standards as businesses are still vulnerable to legal action.
